Meet Our Owner - Jen Zarutskie
A mom and corporate IP lawyer, Jen’s passion for preserving farmland drove her to buy Windy Knob Farm in 2018. and offer it as an event venue and overnight stay place while maintaining it as a working farm. Jen enjoys playing the piano and lending her talents to the community theatre’s orchestra and has fully embraced the town of Millis, one of Massachusetts’ best-kept secrets.

A cozy, serviceable cottage on a charming little farm. We were in town for business, but it felt like a retreat. We took some time to walk on the wooded trails across the street; got to know the charming flock of chickens that patrol the garden yards (yes, the roosters crow a lot – we personally loved it); and strolled through the farmyard to enjoy the company of the pigs, goats, and horses. Jen clearly loves this farm and her animals.
The cottage itself was very comfortable for a couple and could work for a small family as well…

Jen’s place was an amazing small home. A place where you can see chickens walking free, pigs, sheep and horses around you. Also, you can enjoy peaceful and quiet ambiences far from the noisy city. The house has everything that you need coffee maker, toast a full kitchen stuffs that we used to make our dinners. For our teenagers, the house has many games , a piano and for our little one, her room has a beautiful doll house as many other toys. We really love the place and we expect to come back soon in a better weather…

My brother and I came for a nice weekend and were very excited about staying on the farm. It surpassed our expectations. It was very comfortable to be there, and Jen indulged my desire to groom one of her horses. It was wonderful to be woken by the sounds of roosters and the beautiful vistas. There were just two of us but I believe that six people could be very comfortable there. The drive into the local towns was easy and everything you might’ve wanted could be found there. We will definitely be going back to spend more time exploring…
